Suitable for: school-based ITT and ECT mentors, Induction Leads, Lead Mentors, experienced D&T teachers, Heads of Department, Senior Leaders.
Design and technology (D&T) deserves more than a one‑size‑fits‑all approach and so do the teachers who deliver it. Many mentors, trainees and early career teachers (ECT) have shared that the initial teacher training early career framework (ITTECF - previously the CCF/ECF) often feels too generic, leaving them without the subject‑specific guidance needed to truly understand the unique nature, pedagogy and purpose of D&T in schools.
This practical session for mentors and others working with trainees and ECTs, tackles that gap head‑on.
